Ö÷²¥´óÐã

It’s the Grand Final! The judges - interior designers Anna Campbell Jones, architect Danny Campbell and Isle of Mull-based interior designer Banjo Beale - have travelled the country in search of Scotland’s Ö÷²¥´óÐã of the Year. It’s now down to the final six homes – the winners of each regional episode – to go head-to-head. But only one of them can be the winner of the prestigious title.

The judges have invited the six regional winners to join them at Glasgow’s House for an Art Lover, designed by renowned architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Here, they will go through the homes one by one, assessing them on architectural merit, distinctive design and personal style, before whittling six down to three, and then – the hardest job of all – choosing the overall winner of Scotland’s Ö÷²¥´óÐã of the Year 2024.

Meanwhile, the finalists will get to meet the judges for the first time, meet one another, and cast their eyes over each other’s homes.

The six finalists are:
Quiney Cottage in Aberdeenshire won in the north east and Northern Isles. A farmhouse cottage which dates back to the 1800s. Ö÷²¥´óÐãowner Rachel has gutted the property and added her personal style, love for pattern and texture as well as a collection of handmade and second-hand items.
Earth House near Aviemore won in the Highlands and Islands. The former fishing lodge dates back to the 18th century. Ö÷²¥´óÐãowners Salem and Diane bought it in a dilapidated state and have thoughtfully brought the building back to life and created an interior that reflects the serenity of its surroundings.
Honeysuckle Cottage is the winner in the south. Thought to be one of the oldest cottages in Moffat, its earliest records date back to the 1700s. Ö÷²¥´óÐãowners Bryony and Mark have extended it and combined Bryony’s love for interiors with Mark’s practical skills to create a fun family home for them and their two boys.
The Old Mill won in the central region. Previously an industrial building which had been lying empty, homeowners Lee and Dawn took on the ambitious task of turning it into a five-bedroom family home for them and their two kids.
1960s Bungalow won in the west. A converted bungalow which has been extended twice by homeowners Anna and Harry. They’ve created a unique fun family home by using clever techniques, bright colour combinations and reclaimed materials.
Coldwater won in the east. The mid-century bungalow has been refurbished by homeowners Fran and Martin using innovative ideas and techniques. They’ve created bespoke pieces as well as sourcing furniture in keeping with the age of the home.
