In this special edition Jamie explores how the world of art and literature have been a source of inspiration to classical composers through the ages. Featured music includes Scottish pianist Steven Osbourne performing Mussorgsky鈥檚 Picture At An Exhibition inspired by the paintings of Russian artist Viktor Hartmann. The 主播大秀 Scottish Symphony Orchestra perform works taken their inspiration from Robert Burns & Shakespeare (My Love Is Like A Red, Red Rose/The Tempest) and the RSNO perform the Waltz Suite by Prokofiev (War & Peace, Cinderella) and music referencing Sir Walter Scott (The Land of the Mountain and the Flood).
