Eric Knowles aims to find out how a tiny medieval stone sculpture in Lincoln’s cathedral became one of the city’s most recognisable and famous characters. His journey takes him to the cathedral itself, the local football club and one of the oldest jewellers in the city.

Over at Hemswell antiques centre, the mischievous reds and blues are hunting for the best-priced items that they can sell on for a profit at auction. Up the road at North Hykeham is where they hope to do just that, guided by auctioneer Colin Young. Expert Catherine Southon is leading the reds, engaged couple Rob and Ruthie, as they’re challenged to find an item related to travel or exploration, whilst the blues, friends and Formula 1 fans Bridget and Izzy team up with expert Mark Stacey. Their task is to buy an item relating to motoring.
