Jamz is joined by Kampire, who provides a deep dive into her latest release, 'Kampire Presents: A Dancefloor in Ndola'. Released as part of Strut Records鈥� 25th anniversary, this release was inspired by Kampire's formative years in Ndola, Zambia. Kampire's compilation spans different East and Southern African genres and highlights incredible women in African music from the 80s.
The compilation flows through different East and Southern African genres, from Congolese rumba and soukous to 1980s township bubblegum and the rich guitar-led sounds of Zambian kalindula. Kampire also shines the spotlight on many incredible women in African music from the 80s, including Congolese legends like Pembey Sheiro, Feza Shamamba and Princesse Mansia M鈥檅ila to V-Mash and Di Groovy Girls from South Africa.
Also, Jamz plays a host of new and unreleased Global Sounds and looks ahead to All Points East.
