Fran Healy chooses his final Tracks Of My Years

Singer-songwriter and Travis frontman Fran Healy chooses his final two songs for Tracks of My Years. Plus another dive into Vernon's Vault and more Ten To The Top.

Singer-songwriter and Travis frontman Fran Healy chooses his final two favourite songs on this week's Tracks of My Years.

Fran joined the band - then called Glass Onion - on the same day he enrolled at the Glasgow School of Art, and after a name change, Travis released their first single ‘All I Want to Do Is Rock’.

Travis’s second album, 'The Man Who', made them one of the most listened-to bands in the world, featuring the tracks "Writing to Reach You", "Driftwood", "Turn" and their anthemic "Why Does It Always Rain on Me?"

Travis have twice been awarded British Album Of The Year at The BRIT Awards and are credited as having paved the way for post-Britpop British bands such as Coldplay and Keane.

Travis’s new album, ‘L.A. Times’, is out now, and their UK tour kicks off in December, but they are first performing at Radio 2 in the Park in Preston on the 7th September.

Fran has also released a solo album, 2010’s ‘Wreckorder’, which included contributions from Paul McCartney on bass.
