With the Paralympics soon to come, Paul Carter is in Paris to meet some of the athletes and organisers gearing up to take part in and stage this incredible global event. He meets Team USA's Lex Gilette, who holds the world record for blind long jumping. Together, they test out maps which are designed to help visually impaired people navigate key Olympic and Paralympic venues.

Diving deeper, he meets Paralympian Ludivine Munos, now Head of Paralympic Games Integration, who explains the challenge of turning Paris - with all its cobbled streets and ancient buildings - into an accessible city. Paul explores some of the tech being used to increase performance levels, including with American Paralympian Brian Siemann, who has been wearing smart clothing which feeds back data as he trains, and Paul tests out the advanced electric wheelchairs designed to allow all Paralympians to be able to participate in the opening ceremony, and which will live on in Paris as a legacy of the 2024 games.
