Forbidden Planet by Dawn Watson
On a day that finally offers hope for peace in Northern Ireland, a teenager working at a Belfast cinema finds that not everyone is so optimistic about an end to the violence.

Dawn Watson was born in Belfast and is a poet and writer. She is currently a Lecturer in Creative Writing at Queen鈥檚 University, Belfast. Dawn鈥檚 debut collection We Play Here was a Guardian Poetry Book of the Year 2023 and was shortlisted for the John Pollard International Poetry Prize for an outstanding debut collection. Dawn鈥檚 work has been broadcast on 主播大秀 Radio 4, 主播大秀 Radio 3, and 主播大秀 Radio Ulster, and has appeared in leading literary journals including The Poetry Review and Granta.
