Just after giving birth, Sadia turns into a statue. At least, that鈥檚 how she feels. One moment she鈥檚 reaching out to pull the curtains shut, and the next she鈥檚 frozen to the spot. All she can do is look out of the window 鈥� and try to understand what鈥檚 happening to her.
Emma Smith-Barton鈥檚 short stories have appeared in Mslexia and the Bristol Short Story Prize anthology.
