Rachmaninov from Germany, and the last of the final ten from the Leeds International Piano Competition

This week on Classical Live we're bringing you highlights from this year’s Leeds International Piano Competition, with performances from two of the ten semi-finalists each day looking forward to tonight's finals. (see Radio 3 in Concert this evening and tomorrow).

There is also chamber music from last month’s Edinburgh International Festival – today features the Takacs Quartet in the European premiere of a new work by Nokuthala Ngwenyama and from Cologne, Cristian Macelaru conducts the WDR Symphony Orchestra in Rachmaninov’s Symphony No.3
