Mohsin Hamid is a Pakistani author best known for his novel The Reluctant Fundamentalist (2007) which saw him shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize and has been adapted into a film to be released in May 2013. His three distinctly different novels all offer a vision of Pakistani modernity that challenges the prevailing stereotype of the country since 9/11. His latest book How to Get Rich in Rising Asia (2013) explores globalisation and capitalism in a caricature of the self-help genre.
