Through the working lives of five different Georgians, Tom Esslemont discovers how the country has tried to recover by reducing its reliance on Russia, moving towards a more consumerist economy, beefing up internal security and crime fighting, but still is an economy that is unable to adequately rehouse and rehabilitate thousands of refugees from the war with Russia, forced to flee their homes and now living in poverty scratching a living in camps outside Tbilisi.
