The Rolex Fastnet Race is a sporting institution, 340 boats on a 603 nautical mile charge, battling whatever weather conditions are thrown at them, as they make their way across the ocean from Cowes, to the symbol of the race, the Fastnet Rock, before heading back to Plymouth. This race first conceived in 1925 is the ultimate test of both inshore and offshore sailing skills and is unquestionably one of the greatest events in the international yachting calendar.
