A Woman Captured

A documentary following a Hungarian woman who has been kept by a family as a domestic slave for ten years. Eventually she gathers courage to plan her escape.

A raw and intimate portrayal of the psychology behind enslavement. Marish has worked for a family for 10 years - performing all manner of household duties seven days a week in exchange for only meals, cigarettes and a couch to sleep on. Marish's 18 year-old daughter ran away a couple of years ago unable to bear her circumstances any longer, but Marish is too afraid to break away.
Director Bernadett Tuza-Ritter films as she gradually determines to free herself and become an independent woman.
