The Rolex Fastnet Race takes place once every two years around the seas of the United Kingdom and is perhaps the most famous offshore yachting event there is. Challenging and demanding it is one of the great sailing classics and an ultimate test of seamanship. Starting in the Southwest of England in Cowes on the Isle of Wight, the 608 nautical mile race passes famous landmarks like the Needles, the Lizard, Land's End and the Fastnet Rock itself, along the way, before finishing off in Plymouth.
