Forest floor emergence

In spite of its vigour, capturing the rate of bamboo growth still required a sophisticated time-lapse system to take hundreds of stills over a period of days. Good light is essential for time-lapse, so it's usually done in a studio, but the bamboos were just too big to move. So a mobile outdoor studio, lit by four huge studio flash guns, was constructed and moved around as bamboo shoots appeared.
