There's no such thing as garbage, just money, according to American eco-capitalist Tom Sazky, but before you go wrestling your bin bag off the dustman, sit down and have a listen to this week's One Planet. Mike chats to Tom about his beliefs that consumers - rather than governments or businesses - will ultimately have the say on whether they want to save the environment.

Tom, a twentysomething Princeton dropout, has been hailed as an angel investor following the successful creation of his TerraCycle firm. Stood in the grounds of a waste plastics heap, Tom tells Mike why he doesn't live the life of an eco-warrior (no Prius, no organic-only diet), and examines our presenter's rubbish bag to see what he can find (a lot of beer bottles by the sound of it).

Also in this week's show, Mike pops along to a climate change activists camp in London to discuss global population, and we examine the curious tale of shrinking polar bears. Professor Anthony Barnosky from the University of California paints a gloomy picture for some of the planet's most beloved animals.
