Stephen Thrush is the driving force behind the project to bring Worcestershire's breast cancer unit under one roof - he's the man in whom all women who've been diagnosed put their faith.

Worcestershire Royal Hospital houses one of the country's most progressive breast cancer units but it could be even better if the facilities could be under one roof. Stephen Thrush is the breast cancer consultant who's the driving force behind
making the improvements happen.

He joins Tony Fisher on Monday morning to talk about his job, what progress is being made to combat breast cancer and how the new facility, which it's anticipated will be opened in the summer of 2011, will benefit women (and men) in Worcestershire and perifery counties.

This is part of a series as we follow the progress of the breast cancer one-stop shop including exclusive access to the operating theatre as we find out exactly what it's like to undergo surgery and re-construction from both sides of the table, from the consultant's view and the patient.
