The Pakistani villagers holding on to their traditions even as floods wash away all else

Among the organisations helping Pakistan's flood victims is Creatives Against Poverty. Founder Fatima Najm tells us about the people she met on her recent trip to north west Pakistan. She says they are determined to maintain their honour and traditions, despite losing their homes, possessions and livelihoods in the floods.

REVIVING FRENCH CAFE SOCIETY
The last surviving cafe in a village in rural Brittany has become the centre of the community. It was a refuge for beer-drinking men until expatriate Americans Ellen and Don Anderson took it on five years ago. Now it's popular with all the village, and draws in musicians and tourists from further afield.
