Young Voters' Question Time - Tuition Fees Highlights

Here are the highlights from this week's Young Voters' Question Time which was dominated by one topic: the proposed rise in tuitions fees. The Coalition policy has sparked student protests across the United Kingdom, including London, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Brighton, Wales and Scotland. Richard Bacon chaired the debate which saw a series of clashes between the NUS President Aaron Porter and Simon Hughes, Deputy leader of the Liberal Democrats who had made a pre-election pledge to vote against any increase. Also on the panel were Universities Minister David Willets MP, Labour MP, Tessa Jowell, Douglas Murray, Director of the Centre for Social Cohesion and Irish comedian Ed Byrne.
