It's just over a week to go until voters in the Republic have their say on what new government leads them out of one of the most tumultuous times in the country's history. Its woes have been reported on and analysed endlessly from mass consumerism to the property crash to the banking crisis.

But how does it turn the corner to a more positive future? Is political change enough? Our reporter Karen Atkinson has been to Dublin to find out what comes after the boom and the bust.
