In a divided Northern Ireland seaside town, a young man starts a Manchester United fan club which soon attracts an eclectic group of characters.
Francie is an avid Manchester United fan in a small seaside town in Northern Ireland in the late 1990s. While others pass round leaflets urging boycotts and protests over the issue of parades, he invites locals to join his newly formed Man United fan club. He attracts an odd mix of characters, and soon their plans to hold a parade through the centre of the town brings them into conflict with other residents.
