Men smash and destroy the silk looms. Quinn and Foley arrive at Newgate in a prison cart, Southouse explains they are charged with breaking looms and cutting silk. Lady Sarah is served with a writ. She tells sympathetic Southouse that by law she has nothing.

George follows Southouse down a corridor at Newgate. He asks Southouse if he should still call him uncle, Southouse tells him that of course he should. Lady Sarah emotionally explains to Garrow that her son鈥檚 absence is a wound, a helpless Garrow listens to her.

Sarah pleads with Sir Arthur to give Samuel to her, he tells her that they must see who the law prefers. Quinn and Foley are led into court, Catherine looks anxiously at her husband and brother. Silvester tells Garrow that Quinn and Foley are lost.
