Coral turf wars

A coral reef is a busy metropolis of underwater life. At first glance, it may seem that the corals all have their own set space. However, as indivdual corals grow, they need more space. Using timelapse photography, the corals can be seen fighting out their very own turf wars by shooting out stinging cells into one another. Eventually, one or other will win and the space left behind from the retreating loser is quickly taken up by the winning coral.
