Sharon’s realised Ian knew what Ben had done; Ian admits that was partly why he ran away. Ian doesn’t want to call Ben, but Ben phones and requests to see him and Phil. To Ian’s delight, Dennis wants him to babysit. Christian reveals he’s told Jane about Ben. Ian can’t bear the thought of Jane seeing his current state and Christian agrees to dissuade her from visiting. Phil puts emotional pressure on Jay, offering to drive him to his dad’s grave. After a visit to R&R with Shirley, Andrew leaves Walford. At the prison, Phil desperately attempts to make Ben change his statement. Unable to back Phil up, Ian leaves. Ben reveals he’s pleading guilty and doesn’t want to see or hear from anyone until he gets out – Phil will be proud of him one day. After saying goodbye, Ben walks away. Fighting back tears, Phil tells Ben he loves him.

Smitten, Anthony and Alice agree to meet in the Vic. Learning Alice’s a virgin, Poppy advises her to be sure before sleeping with Anthony. Tyler asks Anthony to keep an eye on Whitney; he’s going away to work with Eddie and doesn’t trust Joey. Anthony hangs around Joey and Whitney and invites Whitney for a drink. In the Vic, Whitney mistakenly assumes Anthony’s trying to hit on her. Poppy’s disgusted and intercepts Alice before she meets Anthony.

Janine works from home. Whitney agrees to look after Scarlett more regularly. Janine tells Michael she’s dressing up and he’s taking her out. She’s gutted when he takes her to ladies’ night at R&R.

Feeling guilty that his advice cost Fat Boy his job, Alfie employs him as Potboy and Assistant Manager of the Queen Vic FC. Exasperated, Kat heads off to R&R.

Jack bets Sharon a kiss that she won’t leave Walford.
