The former Head of Referees for the South Africa Football Association Steve Goddard tells us how he was offered a bribe in 2010 by match-fixers hoping to install their chosen referees. Goddard refused the bribe and believes his honesty was the reason he lost his job.

The General Secretary of the worldwide Players’ union, Theo van Seggelen, says players are the victims of match fixing not the cause and they must be better protected by the authorities.
