Andrew Marston introduces Point Zero (Kington)

Unsigned, undiscovered and under-the-radar music, as recorded at Kidderminster College.

Tonight we catch up with one of our local stars who's destined for success, we head to the Musicians Masterclass in Cardiff and get some album building advice from Whispering Bob Harris, why a lack of jazz fans means the Upton event will be moved indoors this summer and there's live music from the Kington Band Point zero.

Sessions

Sessions
It's been at the cutting edge of the local music scene since we went on-air in June 2005 - and eight years on, we decided it was about time to take our 主播大秀 Introducing recording roadshow there!

So for the whole of March - we've been bringing you music recorded at Kidderminster College, home to MAS Records, who were at SXSW in Texas this month, showcasing local music to an international audience.

This week's live session comes from the Kington band Point Zero.

It features Ben Redfern on lead guitar, Adam Redfern on drums, Liam James Davies on bass and Jack Lloyd on lead vocals and rhythm guitar.

They claim to spend every spare second putting their time into music - but we've heard otherwise (apparently they're suckers for fast food!).

Catch their live session and interview on this week's show!

On The Playlist
We took her to the in Cardiff last week - and this week, 19-year-old Kidderminster girl Lauren Wright is on the 主播大秀 Radio 1 playlist.

The track Kiss Me was produced in Nashville by Derek Garten, who had worked as an engineer for and the comparisons are inevitable... but that's no bad thing. Lauren does pop and she does it with style comfortably holding her own on the next to the likes of Swift and .

Proving that pop acts put the work in just as hard as hip hop MCs, dance DJs and indie bands, Lauren has already completed a tour of East Coast USA high schools, supported Misha B and played acoustic shows on the same bills as JLS and Britney Spears.

Kiss Me was first uploaded to 主播大秀 Introducing in Hereford and Worcester in November 2011. It was played in January 2012 and has been a regular on Andrew Marston's show ever since. Check out the

If you're a budding solo artist, an MC, or just started a brand new band then you should check out 主播大秀 Introducing Musicians' Masterclasses.

On Thursday 21 March, we visited various locations across the UK - Glasgow, Belfast, London, Salford & Cardiff. DJs from all over 主播大秀 radio, music industry experts and artists got together to host a day of sessions, workshops and masterclasses.

On the guestlist at Maida Vale were Worcester's Shaun Williams, Malvern's 5parks, Bromyard's Tenz, Droitwich's Case Closed and Bewdley's Barbarix.

Invited to Hoddinott Hall in Cardiff were Hereford's Daniel & The Scandals, Kidderminster's Lauren Wright and man-of-many-Worcester-bands Pete Adams.

We covered everything from song writing & MC workshops to promoting your music & making the most of your Twitter accounts.

We also heard from successful artists about their own musical journeys. Our special guests included Ben Howard, Aluna George, Wretch 32, Devlin, Angel, Japanese Popstars, Phil Kieran, Badly Drawn Boy and the Manic Street Preachers.
