This month's live sessions were produced in the beautiful riverside town of Bewdley, at the Cock & Magpie, on the banks of the Severn.

The venue hosts a number of regular open mic nights in their upstairs bar - so it was a natural choice for us to take the Introducing show there.

The final recording made at the event was from Herefordshire's Rachel Bedford.

She's a 20-year-old singer/songwriter who's recently began studying a BA (Hons) songwriting course at BIMM (Bristol).

She's been crafting her work at a number of open mic nights around Herefordshire and the South West and is influenced by acts as diverse as Bjork,听Laura Marling, Norah Jones, Florence & The Machine, Bat for Lashes, Foals, Lucy Rose, Kate Bush and M People.

Meet The Musicians

Meet The Musicians
主播大秀 Introducing in Hereford & Worcester supports unsigned, undiscovered and under-the-radar musicians from our area.

Since 2011, we've been taking the show out on-the-road showcasing the very best musicians from our two counties.

Once a month, we've been recording acts chosen by us at a variety of venues across the area - including at some of our biggest festivals.

Our next recording session takes place on Friday 31 May at the Wychwood Festival on Cheltenham Racecourse on our very own stage and features the five acts we plan to broadcast throughout June.

Acts we've chosen to appear at the festival are Worcester's Becky Rose, This Wicked Tongue, The Delray Rockets, Leominster's George Barnett, Malvern's Dogs Of Santorini, Hereford's Jimmy Heartbreak and Brassick, who are from both counties.

None of these acts knew they were being considered for a live session - they were chosen based on the tracks they uploaded here - which led them to receiving airplay on 主播大秀 Hereford & Worcester.

Meanwhile, if you're a venue or promoter, and would like to be featured in a future recording session please听get in touch.

Interviews

Interviews

A song has been recorded by a Herefordshire man in aid of Timbuktu which has recently been liberated after being captured by Islamic rebels.

Hay-on-Wye is twinned with the African Town - the charity Hay for Timbuktu are using their medical and educational links to try and help people recover.

Matthew Lewis who created the single says he had some help from a well known producer - hear that interview on this week's show.

On The Record

On The Record

A Worcester filmmaker's series looking at music production in the county has proven to be so successful, he's launched a second series!

Jim Lowe's On The Record documents what life's like on the road for our local industry professionals.

This week, we hear from Jak Hayward from Jasper In The Company Of Others who describes what it's like to be signed to a record label.
