One of the themes of this year’s Royal Highland Show is Precision Farming or how technology can be employed to make farms more efficient. One of the top exponents of Precision farming is a Brechin company called Soil Essentials that has pioneered technology that enables tractors to automatically drive themselves and apply appropriate quantities of lime, seed and fertilizer for different soil conditions. Euan met Jim Wilson, the owner of the business, to find out about the development of the technology.
