The importance of train travel for industry and leisure in Victorian times

In a music hall style song, Queen Victoria celebrates the railway network in Scotland. They describe the need for transporting goods quickly across the country and the benefits of trains over canals. The faster goods are transported the more money can be made. We also learn of the needs for bridges across the rivers Tay and Forth. The song goes on to describe trips to the seaside or the countryside. We learn that whilst first class passenger carriages have seats, third class passengers must stand.
