This week, we hear the haunting vocals of Hagley's Kiki O'Connell.

You could have heard a pin drop at our recent recording session as part of - but surprisingly she was inspired to get into music by the Spice Girls!

She since grew up on a mix of blues and jazz from artists as diverse as Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday through to her parents' favourite The Carpenters.

She taught herself how to play piano two years ago after being let down by various guitarists - and supports her income by working as a waitress.

Taking place across many pubs, hotels and clubs in Malvern, this new music festival put听the rich, diverse pool of musical talent in and around Malvern听to work for a great local cause: Acorns Children's Hospice.

Three days of free music included pop to punk, folk to metal - in a similar format to that of the Worcester Music Festival.

This year TV star and celebrity chef Loyd Grossman听headlined the event with his new band!

Ringmaster festival cancelled

A music festival on the Worcestershire border has been cancelled just over a week before the event due to "unforeseen financial reasons".

Headline acts included Maximo Park, Hadouken, and the Mystery Jets.

: "The festival was no longer able to guarantee the appropriate monies owed to the bands and other parties."

"[Ringmaster] would like to offer everyone their sincere apologies, in what has become a horrendous and saddening situation," it added.

Organisers said all tickets would be refunded and that people should get in touch with their ticket providers for more information.

X Factor

A Worcestershire teenager is 16/1 to win this year's X Factor according to William Hill this week.

16-year-old Kidderminster College student Giles Potter is through the audition stages of the competiton after his rendition of Jesse J's Pricetag on Saturday.

We'll hear some of his early work - and catch up with him in the studio!

What a summer it's been for the Worcester band Peace - playing the biggest gigs of their lives.

Their touring schedule began with an appearance at Glastonbury and most recently - Reading & Leeds.

The gig, , saw brothers Harry Koisser and Samuel Koisser take to the stage with fellow band members Douglas Castle and Dominic Boyce.
