It's day 14 of the US shutdown and while Democrats and Republicans are at least talking to each other to try and resolve their disagreements over government spending - there's no deal in sight yet. We ask who is most likely to lose out.

The Nobel Prize for Economics was awarded jointly to three americans today. They got it for for developing ways to study trends in stock, bond and house prices - work that has changed the way people invest. We profile Eugene Fama, Lars Peter Hansen - and Yale University Professor Robert Shiller.

Britain will make it easier for China's citizens to get visas to travel to the UK. The idea is that more Chinese visiting the UK is good for the British economy - not least because UN's World Tourism Organisation now reckons that China has become the world's most valuable source of tourists, with expenditure on travel abroad reaching $102bn last year. We get reaction from the UK.
