We've been absolutely inundated with tracks from Herefordshire & Worcestershire - and we'll include some Bah! Humbug songs as we as the 主播大秀 need to be unbiased, of course...!
I Wish It Could Be Christmas...for the next 30 years
Back in 1983, children at Kempsey Primary School near Worcester, sung on Wizzard's festive anthem I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday.
听
To mark it's 30th anniversary, current pupils have recorded their own song 'Welcome To Christmas Day' which is being released as a single.
听
The song was written by Neil Stevens, and features all 250 students at the school.听
听
Peter & The Harmonics' 主播大秀 Introducing session
Peter & The Harmonics are an acoustic folk four-piece who write songs inspired by the likes of Neil Young, Bon Iver and Simon & Garfunkel.
听
With a discernible pop sensibility, their songs chime with catchy melodies throughout.
听
Following the release of their debut EP 'Over Me', the band is building a big reputation for their blissful four-part harmonies and heart-on-the-sleeve lyrics.

It was the final town in Worcestershire we'd not visited since we started taking the show out on-the-road in 2001 - so it was time to change all that!

On a cold, dark, autumn Sunday night at the end of November, we rolled up next to Pershore railway station to record at Tower Studios - who've just completed a 48-hour "drumathon" for charity.
听
The five acts on stage blew us away - so be prepared for some top tunes as we head you through the festive season!

Our next recording session takes place on Sunday 5 January at and features four of the acts we've handpicked for broadcast in 2014.

It's free to get in - and this is your chance to see how we capture live music on tape, while being able to enjoy some of the hottest new acts we've got in our area right now.

None of these acts knew they were being considered for a live session - they were chosen based on the tracks they - which led them to receiving airplay on 主播大秀 Hereford & Worcester.

Doors open at 2pm - but you're more than welcome to turn up anytime until 6pm.
主播大秀 Introducing Musicians' Masterclass
On Thursday 21 March, we visited various locations across the UK - Glasgow, Belfast, London, Salford & Cardiff. DJs from all over 主播大秀 Radio, music industry experts and artists got together to host a day of sessions, workshops and masterclasses.
On the guestlist at Maida Vale were Worcester's , Malvern's , Bromyard's , Droitwich's and Bewdley's .
Invited to Hoddinott Hall in Cardiff were Hereford's , Kidderminster's and man-of-many-Worcester-bands .
We covered everything from song writing & MC workshops to promoting your music & making the most of your Twitter accounts.
We also heard from successful artists about their own musical journeys. Our special guests included Ben Howard, Aluna George, Wretch 32, Devlin, Angel, Japanese Popstars, Phil Kieran, Badly Drawn Boy and the Manic Street Preachers.
