People in Stoke raising money for victims in Syria

Syria has been in a state of civil war for two and a half years and the UN estimates that more than 100,000 people have been killed. Aid organisations say that parts of the country are so dangerous that civilians are being left without help. Despite these dangers small British aid convoys are making journeys to Syria in second-hand ambulances packed with aid. And it's hoped a convoy from Stoke on Trent will head there soon - tens of thousands of pounds have already been raised by Muslims in the city - events will be held every week between now and February to help raise further funds. In this interview 主播大秀 Radio Stoke's Ajmal Hussain spoke to one of the organisers, Atiqur Rehman at the first of these events - a charity car wash.
