Is your first name dying out?

No babies were named Gladys, Cecil or Marjorie in 2012. Mark discusses why.

What's in a name? Apparently if you're a Rowland, Gladys or Muriel you're an endangered species! Once some of the most popular names in Britain, no babies were given those names in 2012. Mark wants to speak to you if you have one of those names, or if you're a Clifford, Harold, Marjory or Hilda, to see if you can encourage some parents to revive the names. Join the campaign and tell him why parents should choose your name.

Mark goes live to Aintree, to speak to reporter Chris Latchem ahead of the Grand National. He'll also hear from a past winner of the prestigious race, and from a state of the art centre for injured jockeys.

A Geordie anthem is dividing people on Tyneside, after claims an incorrect version of "Blaydon Races" has been put on signs welcoming people to a new shopping centre in Blaydon. The signs carry what some residents say is odd dialect of the song, and have called for them to be removed. Others say they are the original lyrics and people should stop moaning.

Would you know how to make 拢50m out of a quid? Mark has the story of a man who has risen from poverty to do just that. Hear the tale of discount store 'Poundland', told by the humble business man that started the company. Mark aks about the best pound you've ever spent.

Mark goes live to the 主播大秀 Weather Centre for a full weekend forecast.
