All this week we look at the rising epidemic of obesity around the globe. We have been working with our partner programme in the United States, Marketplace. Their Shanghai correspondent Rob Schmitz, has our first report on the growing waistlines of China and an accompanying astonishing rise in diabetes - 11 times more Chinese have the disease today than 30 years ago.

Also, we go to India where Rahul Tandon explains the new Indian love affair with fast food.

Paul Bulcke, the CEO of Nestle tells us their food is safer than its ever been. And, we hear from Dr. Francesco Branca, Director of Nutrition for Health and Development at the World Health Organisation.
