Brazil and Kyrgyzstan
Miles Warde reflects on how harmonious Brazilian society really is, and in Kyrgyzstan, Max de Haldevang meets the ethnic Uzbeks still reeling from the ethnic violence in 2010.
As Brazil gears up to host the World Cup, grumbles of discontent are getting louder. Miles Warde reflects on Brazil's troubled history, and asks whether it is really a society where, no matter what the differences, everybody is equal?
Meanwhile, Max de Haldevang describes his visit to Osh, Kyrgyzstan, scene of horrific ethnic violence between ethnic Kyrgyz and Uzbeks in 2010. He meets members of the Uzbek minority whose relatives have been met with brutality in the aftermath of the clashes, still known as 'the War'.
