As the New Year marks the beginning of a renewed drive for digital innovation at the World Service, especially in how you receive your news, we鈥檒l be asking how technology is affecting your listening habits. This week we hear from a World Service English and 主播大秀 Hindi listener from Sikkim in India who鈥檚 been trying out the 主播大秀 Hindi service through the instant messaging service Line. He鈥檚 been receiving news stories by text, with short videos and audio delivered direct to his smartphone. Rajan Datar speaks to the mobile editor for the 主播大秀 World Service, Ramaa Sharma, about mobile listening in India and what new developments listeners worldwide can expect from the 主播大秀 in 2015.
