Douglas Carswell on the defection of UKIP MEP Amjad Bashir to the Conservatives hours after he was suspended over various allegations by the party he was leaving.
The Essex MP spoke to Jo Coburn about his own defection in the opposite political direction, where he faced a by-election last year.
She also asked him about quotes attributed to UKIP secretary Matthew Richardson about the NHS, which Mr Carswell described as a "little bit more smear and jeer".
