As part of our coverage of 100 seats in the 100 days to the election, reporter Hywel Griffith visits Tregaron in the constituency of Ceredigion, where the local people are fearful that their rural way of life is dying out.

At the cattle market farmers feel forgotten by the politicians and are worried by how life is changing.

"The young generation are going away to work, especially out of farming because they see their friends earning better money in other jobs, there is no work for them," said one farmer.

The chair of governors of the local school Sandra Morris Jones is trying to build something positive in a difficult time.

"We've seen our shops, garages, chapels, churches, post offices, the list of things that have closed is endless, it's rather nice that we've halted the thing in its tracks."

The pupils are aware their futures in rural mid-Wales might be hard.

"I think it's going to be very difficult, I hope the new government will be able to help people in rural Wales. I'd love to be a farmer...but I can see it will be hard industry to get into," said Gwynfor who is doing his A-levels.
