Two years ago, Danny Chang and Colin Finnie came up with the idea of forming a community band that would put on a Christmas rural variety show at Garway Village Hall, near Ross-on-Wye.

They invited anybody that could play or sing to come and rehearse with them to perform in the show.

The response was phenomenal and for two years running the Christmas show was a sell out.

The band enjoyed themselves so much that they decided that they would record an album of original material.

The members of There Was A Crooked Man all hail from the village, except the vocalist, Nigel Voyle, who's from Cardiff.

He was drafted into TWACM late in the day when they realised they could all sing, but they weren't really vocalists!

Nightclub closures

Nightclub closures

New figures reveal that nearly half of all the clubs in the UK have closed over the last decade, with 50 shutting their doors in the West Midlands.

We hear from a former nightclub owner, in Worcester, who听says too much competition is behind the number of night club closures across our area.

We also pay a visit to some of our failed venues and chat to听clubbers about door policy.

"The fear of having to evacuate 2000听- 3000 people from an airfield, especially following a recent plane crash, meant the local council decided not to allow the festival to proceed and deemed Popham Airfield not suitable for our music festival," is how it reads on their website.

This weekend, One Love Festival is being staged at Croft Farm Waterpark, near Evesham - the same site that hosted Lakefest a few weeks ago.

This weekend it's a celebration of all things Bob Marley as the organisers celebrate eight years in the industry.

This month's sessions were recorded in the 主播大秀 Introducing in Hereford & Worcester tent at LakeFest near Evesham.

The event, at Croft Farm Waterpark in Bredons Hardwick, has grown from a cider festival four years ago, into a full-scale festival that welcomed around 6,000 people this summer.

Headliners included Goldie Lookin Chain, Ash and The Cheeky Girls - and next year it's relocating to the site of the former Big Chill at Eastnor Deer Park.

Beatles v Rolling Stones

Beatles v Rolling Stones

Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones has reignited the long forgotten feud between them and the Beatles.

In an interview he said of Sergeant Pepper: "Some people think it's a genius album, but I think it's a mishmash of rubbish".

So we caught up with one of our local tribute bands, as well as Vintage Trax in Redditch, to get their views - and apparently vinyl sales are through the roof!

听take place simultaneously over the August bank holiday weekend and this year saw Mumford & Sons, Alt J and Metallica take the prestigious headline slots on the main stage.

For 主播大秀 Introducing, this was our eighth year of hosting our stage.

Historically, our Reading and Leeds line-up has been one of the strongest of all our stages throughout the festival season with acts such as Slaves, Catfish and the Bottlemen and Jack Garratt making their 主播大秀 Introducing debuts here.

Molly Ann at Shrewsbury Abbey

Molly Ann at Shrewsbury Abbey

Bewdley's Molly Ann showcases a unique blend of vocals, piano, 'electronics' and strings together with a love for strong melodies.

She's influenced by fellow 主播大秀 Introducing discoveries such as Florence + The Machine, Gabriella Aplin, Rae Morris and Herefordshire's Ellie Goulding.

We loved her music so much, we passed it on to Mark Forrest who played it on the Best of 主播大秀 Introducing across all 40 Local Radio stations in Britain.

Recently, she played a very special gig organised by the 主播大秀 showcasing musicians in unusual settings - so tonight we .

Our next recording session takes place at Drummonds in Worcester, on Sunday 20 September from 2pm, as part of this year's Worcester Music Festival.

The event has been compared to a local version of SXSW with several pubs and clubs around the city hosting live music with song-writing workshops also taking place during the weekend.

It was founded in 2008 by Chris Bennion who makes Worcestershire Sauce who wanted his area to be known for more than just Lea & Perrins.
