Val McDermid reveals to Nicola Sturgeon why she was undecided during the referendum campaign and the factors that eventually helped her reach a final decision.
The crime writer's novel, The Skeleton Road, was published on the same week as the Scottish Independence Referendum in 2014.
She joined Scottish first minister Nicola Sturgeon on stage at the Edinburgh International Book Festival, 26 August 2015.
