Molenbeek: life in the "jihadi capital of Europe"
The working class suburb of Molenbeek in Brussels has been called the 鈥渏ihadi capital of Europe鈥. The Belgian interior minister Jan Jambon has said his government "doesn't have a grip" on the situation there. After authorities said the district was home to some of the gunmen involved in Friday's attacks in Paris, there were numerous police raids in the area on Monday.
Miloud moved to Brussels from Algeria seven years ago, he is a chef and lives in Molenbeek with his wife and three children. Newsday's Rob Brown has been speaking to him about life in the district.
