Money Box can reveal how criminals have attempted to steal money from three Talk Talk customers after receiving a home visit from engineers to carry out repairs to their broadband system. In each case, the customers were told to expect a follow-up call within days. They did receive a call purporting to be from Talk Talk and were convinced the call was genuine because the phone operator had access to detailed information about the visit the previous day. The call wasn't genuine. It was from criminals .
