The executive members of football鈥檚 world governing body, Fifa, have elected Gianni Infantino of Switzerland as their new president. He succeeds Sepp Blatter, who stood down last year amid a corruption crisis that later saw him banned from football for six years. We get the latest from the meeting in Zurich, and the thoughts of Professor Chris Brady of the University of Salford.

Iranians are today voting in the first test of public opinion since Iran signed a deal with world powers over its nuclear programme. The country has faced difficult economic times, but there are now hopes of an economic revival. We hear from a number of Iranian voters, and get the expert view of Dr Sanam Vakil of Chatham House.

Few movie-makers find themselves Oscar-nominated for their first feature film. But director Naji Abu Nowar, and producer Rupert Lloyd, have already won much praise for their low-budget period drama Theeb. The 主播大秀鈥檚 arts correspondent Vincent Dowd reports.
