The Collisions are a five-piece indie/rock band from Evesham and Pershore who are being championed by the Kidderminster-based MAS Records.

They're influenced by stadium acts such as The Killers and The Wombats and in true roll 'n' roll style, they practise in the garage!

SXSW

SXSW
主播大秀 Introducing is out in force, once again, at this year's SXSW in Austin, Texas.

It was the festival where we introduced a young up-and-coming artist by the name of Florence & The Machine many years back - and look at her now!

So just why is this event, that takes place 4,500 miles away, so significant? We investigate.

New album: Mumbo-Jumbo

New album: Mumbo-Jumbo
They performed more than 8000 gigs between them, were nominated for Best Original Song in the British Blues Awards - but have only just released their second album!

Mumbo-Jumbo, whose members live all over Worcestershire, are a blues/roots combo who create laid back, close harmony, piano-based sounds infused with a sense of humour.听

主播大秀 Introducing in Stourport-on-Severn

主播大秀 Introducing in Stourport-on-Severn
This month's sessions were recorded at The Swan in Stourport.

The venue has recently become a music hub for the town after being bought by Matt Worley who runs the Strings & Things store next door.

The performance area is decorated with amps around the stage and bar, music memorabilia across all of the beams and vinyl records fixed to the walls.

Matt was also instrumental in bringing a trade fair to Stourport last year at the town's Civic Centre and he's now looking to open a dedicated function room at The Swan, complete with a restaurant and rock 'n' themed hotel suites.

New album: Sheelanagig

New album: Sheelanagig
It's been nearly a decade since we last caught up with this band - who, in fact, performed a live session for us at the long-lamented Big Chill Festival at Eastnor Deer Park.

Sheelanagig, who began in Malvern and Kidderminster, have recently released their fifth album called Beer Town.

Last year, the band played at a number of festivals, including Glastonbury, Womad and Beautiful Days, and regularly tour the continent with their music.

He's one of the most prolific live performers in our area - and this week Bromyard's Remi Harris has been talking to 主播大秀 Hereford & Worcester about life on the road.

The former rocker ditched his electric guitars in favour of gypsy jazz a few years back - a move that has seen him perform all over Europe, including a highlight performance at Buckingham Palace.

None of these acts knew they were being considered for a live session - they were chosen based on the tracks they听.
