In the farthest reaches of our planet, people live very different lives to us, and face very different problems.

For the final episode of the series we travelled to Papua New Guinea to film the crocodile worshippers of the Sepik River, and discovered that the people there struggle every day with the fundamental issue of lighting. What hit us all strongest was that mothers had to look after their children in total darkness every night.

Bringing batteries into inaccessible places such as the village of Paru is difficult, expensive and extremely damaging to the environment. Therefore, we gave each family a solar lantern which can be easily charged in just four hours and last all night long, providing them with a sustainable alternative to batteries to light their nights.
