The museum with a 'full panoply of mowers'

The lawnmower was patented by Edwin Beard Budding in 1830, at the time people thought he was a lunatic and a madman to invent such a contraption, so he had test the machine at night so that no one could see him.

The British Lawnmower Museum in Southport is one of the leading authorities on vintage lawnmowers and most of the exhibit's technical and industrial artefacts are from the Victorian and Edwardian era.

Graham Jones tells us why he has fallen for this small museum as part of our series.
