Another Band, from Hereford, are a five piece group playing comedy and rock covers, with original songs, to make people sing, rock out and have fun with.

They're influenced by acts such as Muse, Tenacious D and Nirvana.

"If you want a great rock band - a rock solid performance - and a performance to make you smile, you need another band. No. Wait. You need Another Band!" - Andrew Marston

Record deal

Record deal

She may have missed out on Eurovision - but a singer from Worcestershire has landed a major record contract.

Abby Inez, from Droitwich, is one half of the duo Darline - who got to the final of the competition to represent the UK in this weekend's song contest in Sweden.

The country act lost that, but have now been signed up by Warners.

European tour

European tour

The members of a hardcore rock band, from Worcester, have just returned from their latest European tour.

Fights & Fires, who've been together since 2008, have now lost count of the number of times they've played on the continent, but say it's upwards of 30.

Vocalist, Philip Cox, trained to be a professional wrestler, before falling victim to the tour bug.

Guitarist Ryan Price is an unreserved roller coaster fanatic, having watched every single roller coaster video on YouTube.

Drummer Lee Jackson is a hedgehog owning, lower league football lunatic, following his team all over the UK. Bassist Philip Cook has built himself an impressive CV, taking lower league teams to European glory...on football manager, year after year.

With a love for Star Wars, professional wrestling and super heroes, Fights & Fires, offstage, look more at home in your local comic book store, than at a punk rock show, but, come stage time, it all changes.

Reviews

Reviews

In our reviews, this week, we hear from Trevor Price who, together with Peter Barnett, runs the Music In The Hall series of events in Bewdley.

These normally take place on the first Friday of the month and feature a local performer, a regional act and an international headliner.

The first event was held 18 months ago to celebrate the reopening of the venue.

主播大秀 Introducing in Kidderminster

主播大秀 Introducing in Kidderminster
This month's sessions were recorded at the Boar's Head in Kidderminster - a pub that has been under the threat of closure since the start of the year, due to financial pressures.

Sid and Sandra, who run the venue, took it on after bringing the The Beat to the Town Hall.听

Ever since, they've been hosting a variety of punk, ska, rock and indie nights, booking bands from as far afield as Germany, Australia and America.

They also stage an annual two day festival outside their Worcester Street venue.

Features

  • 听Bewdley's Becky Hill nearly said no to a Number One record.
  • : 主播大秀 Introducing's Tom Robinson is in town.

主播大秀 Introducing at the Hay Festival

主播大秀 Introducing at the Hay Festival

Our next recording session takes place on Sunday 29 May where we'll be rolling up to The Hay Festival to record several acts who we've been playing on 主播大秀 Hereford & Worcester recently.

We'll bring the bands - all we need now is the fans!

None of these artists knew they were being considered for a live session - they were chosen based on the tracks they uploaded to us.

So if you'd like to Be Part Of It, then simply turn up on the day - it's free to see our bit - but you must be prepared to make lots of noise for local music!
