There are fears that hundreds of 'on-call' firefighters in Leicestershire will be put under immense pressure over the next few years because of a combination of cuts and a recruitment freeze. Retained firefighters make up more than a third of the frontline workforce.

Well not exactly, but today four big hitters from the leave campaign on EU membership have said that they will end automatic rights for EU workers to come here, instead attracting who we need on an Australian style points system.
