Do Welsh children have the most national pride?

The winners of 'The 500 Words Contest' have been announced. More than 120,000 children, between the ages of five and thirteen sent in their short stories.

Analysis of the language used by entrants has revealed that children from Wales are more likely to mention their nationality.

Lists of the top ten words used by children in each country and region in the UK were compiled.

In Wales, 'Wales' and 'Welsh' were among the top ten most frequently used words. But children from England, Scotland and Northern Ireland didn't have any mention of their nationality in their top ten words.
